Website and enquiry terms
What follows governs your reading of hearingaidsinwestbromwich.co.uk and anything you send us through the enquiry form on it. The site is published by Hearing Aids in West Bromwich. Use the site and you accept these terms; if any of them does not suit you, the sensible course is to go elsewhere.
Our role, and its edges
Plainly stated, here is the arrangement: Hearing tests We write the pages and we forward what you send. We are not the specialist firm, we employ no audiologists, and nobody from here will test your hearing, fit a device or carry out any work.
Permission to read, limits on reuse
Read freely, return as often as you like, and print a page if it helps you discuss the matter with a relative or a clinician. The text, images, layout and underlying code belong to Hearing Aids in West Bromwich or to those who licensed them to us. That stops short of republishing them, copying them into another site or document for an audience, loading them inside a frame on someone else's page, scraping them by machine, or using them in any way that misleads people about where they came from.
A web page cannot test your hearing
Everything written here is general reading, and general reading has a ceiling: Hearing tests No page on this site is a hearing assessment, a clinical report or advice about one particular person's ears, and none of it should take the place of being seen and tested by somebody qualified. If you are worried about sudden loss, pain or discharge, that is a matter for a doctor, not a website.
Sending us your details
The form costs nothing, commits you to nothing and puts no contract in place between you and us. This is what we then do with it: Your enquiry, with the details you gave, is passed to one specialist firm covering the area you told us about, so that they can contact you about it. They use it only to answer your enquiry and to arrange any visit or work you agree with them, and from that point they are responsible for how they handle it. We do not pass your details to anyone else for their own use. Anything that comes next, an appointment, a test, a quotation, a device or follow-up care, is agreed directly between you and that firm on the firm's own terms, not ours. On the money side: The specialist may pay us when we pass the enquiry on. You pay us nothing, and you are free to get quotes from anyone else. Nothing here ties you to the firm that calls. Ring round, compare, and take advice from whoever else you wish.
Appointments, advice and guarantees: theirs
From the moment the specialist makes contact, that firm answers for what it does: the test it performs, the opinion it gives, the price it names, the products it supplies, the work it carries out and any guarantee or aftercare attached. Should something go wrong, raise it with them first, because they are the only ones able to put it right. We would still like to know, as it tells us something about who we are passing enquiries to.
Errors, edits and outages
Trouble is taken over what goes up here, and a mistake gets corrected once we learn of it. Even so, we do not promise that every sentence is accurate, complete or current, nor that the site will be reachable at any particular moment. Pages may be rewritten, moved or taken down without notice.
Loss, limits and your statutory rights
Our part in this is publishing pages and forwarding an enquiry, and so far as the law allows, that is the full measure of what we answer for. We are not liable for loss, cost, delay or damage flowing from your use of the site, from reliance on something you read here, from the site being unavailable, or from the conduct, advice or work of a specialist firm. Three things stand outside that limit: death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and anything else the law does not permit us to exclude. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Pages beyond this website
Here and there we point outward, perhaps to a professional register, official health guidance or a manufacturer. Those sites are run by other people. We have no say in what appears on them, we do not monitor them, and a link should not be read as a recommendation or endorsement of what you find there.
When this page is updated
These terms can be amended. The version shown here at the time you use the site is the one that applies to that use, and an amendment made later does not alter the position on an enquiry you have already sent.
Which legal system covers this
These terms, and any dispute about them or about the site, fall under the law of the place where we are established, and the courts there are the ones to hear it. If you are a consumer, nothing in this paragraph takes away your right to bring a claim in the courts of the country where you live.
Speaking to us about a problem
Whether it is a query about these terms, a page that reads oddly, or dissatisfaction with the way an enquiry was dealt with, the contact page is the place to start, and we will reply. Where the complaint concerns your personal information: If you complain to us about how we have handled your personal information, we acknowledge it within 30 days and reply as soon as we can.
